چکیده

Action rules [6] have been applied so far in various domains, including banking, music, and medicine. In this paper, medical data are also taken into account, but we propose extraction of rules for data representing changes of medical parameters over time. The extracted rules are called object-driven action rules. The database used in experiments describes observations of hypernasality treatment in children, and our goal is to search for actions which can be taken to move current diagnostic state of the patients to less severe one. The algorithm of rules extraction is presented, and the obtained results are discussed in this paper.

Declarative Semantics in Object-Oriented Software Development - A Taxonomy and Survey

One of the modern paradigms to develop an application is object oriented analysis and design. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles in applications. In an application, we must distinguish between procedural semantics and declarative semantics for their implementation in a specific programming language. For the procedural semantics, we can write a ...

Pair-Based Object-Driven Action Rules

Action rules, as proposed by Raś and Wieczorkowska in [11], can be defined as actionable tasks that describe possible transitions of objects from one state to another with respect to a distinguished attribute. Recently, a new specialized case of action rules, namely object-driven action rules, has been introduced by Ayman et al. in [4]. Object-driven action rules are action rules that are extra...

Computing with Genetic Gates, Proteins, and Membranes

We introduce Genetic P systems, a class of P systems with evolution rules inspired by the functioning of the genes. The creation of new objects – representing proteins – is driven by genetic gates: a new object is produced when all the activator objects are present, and no inhibitor object is available. Activator objects are not consumed by the application of such an evolution rule. Objects dis...

Extending the Qualitative Trajectory Calculus Based on the Concept of Accessibility of Moving Objects in the Paths

Qualitative spatial representation and reasoning are among the important capabilities in intelligent geospatial information system development. Although a large contribution to the study of moving objects has been attributed to the quantitative use and analysis of data, such calculations are ineffective when there is little inaccurate data on position and geometry or when explicitly explaining ...
